Thriyv: Aftercare Information Sheet – Sunekos
Purpose
This guide explains what to expect following your Sunekos treatment and how to care for your skin to ensure optimal healing and results. Please follow these instructions carefully.
Immediately After Treatment
You may experience mild redness, swelling, tenderness, or small bumps at the injection sites. These effects are normal and typically settle within 24–48 hours. Small bruises may appear but will fade naturally over several days.
Aftercare Advice
- Avoid touching, rubbing, or applying pressure to the treated area for at least 24 hours.
- Do not apply makeup for 24 hours after treatment.
- Avoid alcohol, caffeine, and vigorous exercise for 24 hours, as these can increase swelling and bruising.
- Refrain from saunas, steam rooms, sunbeds, and hot baths for 48 hours.
- Avoid facial massages or beauty treatments for at least 7 days.
- Keep the treated area clean and avoid unnecessary contact.
Hydration and Skin Care
Sunekos works by restoring hydration and stimulating collagen and elastin production. To support this process:
- Drink plenty of water for at least 48 hours after treatment.
- Use a gentle cleanser and fragrance-free moisturiser.
- Avoid active skincare products such as retinoids, acids, or exfoliants for 24 hours.
- Always apply SPF 30 or higher when outdoors.
Treatment Course and Results
Results develop gradually over a series of sessions, with visible improvement in skin texture and elasticity after the second or third treatment. The skin will continue to improve as collagen and elastin production increases. Full results are usually seen 4–6 weeks after the final session.
Possible Side Effects
Most side effects are mild and temporary, including redness, swelling, and tenderness. Bruising may occur but usually resolves within a few days. Rarely, infection or small nodules may develop at injection sites. These should be assessed by your clinician.
When to Contact the Clinic
- Contact Thriyv immediately if you experience:
- Increasing redness, swelling, or pain.
- Persistent lumps, discharge, or warmth at the injection sites.
- Signs of infection such as fever or spreading redness.
- Any unexpected or concerning reactions.
Ongoing Care
To maintain your results, it is recommended to complete the full course of Sunekos sessions as advised by your practitioner and to repeat maintenance treatments every 6 months.
