Thriyv: Before Treatment Information Sheet – Sunekos

Purpose

This guide provides important information to help you prepare for your upcoming Sunekos treatment at Thriyv. Please read it carefully and contact us if you have any questions before your appointment.

About the Treatment

Sunekos is an injectable skin treatment that uses a patented combination of hyaluronic acid and amino acids to stimulate collagen and elastin production. It helps to restore skin elasticity, improve hydration, and reduce fine lines and wrinkles. Sunekos is suitable for areas such as the face, under eyes, neck, décolletage, and hands. It is particularly beneficial for clients seeking natural-looking skin rejuvenation without adding volume.

Expected Benefits

  • Improved skin elasticity and firmness.
  • Enhanced hydration and luminosity.
  • Reduction in fine lines and crepiness.
  • Healthier, more youthful-looking skin.
  • Progressive results over a course of treatments.

How the Procedure Works

The product is injected in small amounts just beneath the skin using a fine needle. The treatment stimulates fibroblasts to produce collagen and elastin, improving skin structure and hydration. The procedure typically takes around 30–45 minutes and may involve multiple treatment areas depending on your needs.

Treatment Course

A standard Sunekos course involves 3–4 sessions spaced 7–14 days apart. Results can last up to 6 months, depending on skin quality, lifestyle, and age. Maintenance sessions are recommended twice a year to sustain results.

Medical and Consent Requirements

Before your appointment, you’ll need to complete a Medical History and Consent Form. Your Thriyv clinician will review your medications, allergies, and any relevant medical history to ensure that treatment is safe and appropriate. Please inform your clinician if you have had recent aesthetic procedures or if you are using any prescription skincare products such as retinoids.

Contraindications (When Treatment Cannot Proceed)

  • Sunekos treatment is not suitable for clients who:
  • Are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • Are under 18 years of age.
  • Have an active skin infection or inflammation at the planned injection site.
  • Have an allergy or sensitivity to any of the product ingredients.
  • Have an autoimmune condition or severe medical illness affecting healing.
  • Are currently unwell (cold, flu, fever).
  • If you are unsure about your suitability, please contact the clinic for advice prior to your appointment.

Possible Side Effects

Mild redness, tenderness, swelling, or small lumps at injection sites are normal and usually resolve within 24–48 hours. Temporary bruising may also occur. In rare cases, infection, allergic reaction, or small nodules can develop. Your clinician will discuss all potential risks before treatment.

How to Prepare for Your Appointment

  • Avoid alcohol, aspirin, ibuprofen, and other anti-inflammatory medications for 24–48 hours before treatment (unless prescribed by your GP) to reduce bruising.
  • Avoid retinol, glycolic acid, or exfoliating skincare for 24 hours prior.
  • Arrive with clean skin and no makeup.
  • Eat a light meal before your appointment to reduce faintness.
  • Schedule treatments at least 2 weeks before any major events to allow the skin to settle.
