Who It’s For

Who our blood tests are for

We confirm the right panel with you before you book.

Health-conscious
You train, eat and sleep with intent. Blood markers show you whether it’s actually working.

Prevention-minded
Forty and over, or simply proactive. Catching a marker early is far easier than managing it once it’s a problem.

Fatigue & low energy
Persistent tiredness, poor recovery, no obvious cause. Measure first, before reaching for supplements.

Results unexplained
Bloods done elsewhere, with little explanation. This time you get a written pack you can keep and act on.

Clinic blood testing in Manchester versus home kits

01

Venous draw, in clinic

A trained clinician takes a full venous sample in our Whitworth Street clinic. This is the same method NHS and hospital labs use. Home finger-prick kits are prone to haemolysis, clotting and under-filled tubes, which cause failed samples, skewed results and repeat orders. A proper venous draw gives the lab a clean, full-volume sample, so your results reflect your physiology rather than a sampling error. It takes ten minutes, with no posting and no re-dos.

02

Medical governance

Thriyv Ltd is CQC-registered for diagnostic and screening procedures, and every panel runs under the clinical oversight of Dr Callum Shields (MBChB, MRCS). A doctor reviews your results, so abnormal markers are flagged and acted on rather than left in an app. Home kits give you data. We give you clinical accountability. 03

A written pack in plain English

You don’t get a spreadsheet of reference ranges to Google at midnight. You get a written results pack that puts every marker in plain English, shows where you sit against optimal as well as “normal”, and sets out clear next steps. Those steps could be lifestyle changes, retesting, a targeted treatment plan or a GP referral. You get clarity and a plan.

How to prepare for your blood test

A few simple steps help us get accurate results.

  • Book a morning appointment. Blood tests are generally booked before 11am, because several markers are most reliable when measured in the morning and after fasting. Please contact us before booking and we will find you the earliest morning slot. The clinic opens at 10:00 from Tuesday to Sunday and is closed on Mondays.
  • Fast overnight. Have nothing to eat before your appointment. Water is fine, and drinking some helps make the blood draw easier.
  • Tell us about medicines and supplements. Bring a list of anything you take regularly, and we’ll advise you if anything needs to change before your test.
  • Wear something with loose sleeves so we can reach your arm easily.

If you book an appointment later in the day, one of our team will contact you to move it to a morning slot.

Your results

Your written results pack

After your appointment, you receive a structured written pack built around three things.

Every marker, laid out

In your results pack, you get a full breakdown of every measurement taken. Markers are grouped by system, with your figure against the lab range.

Explained in plain English

What each marker measures, why it matters, and what your number indicates. Written to be understood without a medical degree.

Practical guidance

Where a marker would benefit from attention, clear guidance on what to consider changing. So you can act, then compare future results against this baseline.

If anything in your results warrants clinical attention, we’ll say so clearly. We’ll set out the appropriate next step. Including optional follow-up with our clinical team or referral back to your GP where that is the right route.

Planning an IV as well? Before any higher dose of our vitamin C IV, we check your G6PD status and kidney health so the plan suits you. Our NAD+ drip also starts with its own doctor-led consultation.
